Official Hajj Itinerary & Guide
Phase 1: Pre-Departure Preparations
- Health & Vaccinations: Mandatory Vaccination: It is compulsory for all pilgrims to possess a valid vaccination certificate for the quadruple meningitis vaccine (ACYW). Please schedule and receive this vaccination between now and 15 days prior to your departure date.
Pre-Travel Consultation: Pilgrims—especially the elderly and those with chronic conditions (such as advanced cancer, heart or respiratory disease, advanced liver/kidney disease, or general senility)—should consult their healthcare providers to assess their physical readiness for Hajj. - Visa Processing:
The Hajj eVisa will begin issuing the week of March 23, 2027, for all purchased packages.
Delivery: EVisas will be sent to the email address of all members on your Nusuk account (Subject: Saudi eVisa).
Verification: You can look up and print your visa via the MOFA Visa Services Portal. In your Nusuk app, check under "My Itinerary" to view your Visa Status.
Action Required: Contact your group leader if your visa is not issued by one week before your departure. - Flight Tickets:
Group Flights: If your package includes a group flight, eTickets will be emailed to you and the members on your account 3 to 4 weeks prior to departure. Airline and dates will reflect your specific package itinerary.
Custom Flights: If you booked custom flights, you should have already received your eTickets.
Verification & Rules: Print your ticket/itinerary showing your booking reference. Please double-check your name, date of birth, and flight details. Note that modifications to the date, time, route, or airline are strictly prohibited by airline restrictions.
Action Required: Contact your group leader if your eTickets are not received by one week before your departure.
Phase 2: Departure & Arrival
- Airport Guidelines: Heading to the Airport
Start Date: The first Dur package begins on May 12, 2027. Prepare to depart from your gateway according to your specific flight ticket.
Arrival Time: Please arrive at the airport at least four hours before your international departure. Airports will be crowded, and you will need extra time for security and walking to your gate. Utilize online check-in if your airline offers it.
Luggage: Check your airline's specific baggage policy on your booking confirmation (and purchase extra baggage in advance if needed). Ensure all luggage is tagged using your Dur Hospitality Services tags.
Flight Day Rules
If you miss your inbound flight to Saudi Arabia, your outbound flight ticket will automatically be canceled. Changing tickets is not permitted.
If you experience any flight delays, notify your group leader immediately.
Our Dur guides will be present at select gateways on specific dates, giving you the chance to meet your fellow pilgrims and guides before boarding. - Immigration:
Airports: You will arrive at either King Abdulaziz International Airport (Jeddah) or Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport (Medina).
Patience is Key: Expect delays due to the high volume of pilgrims. Stay calm, avoid crowding, and comply with all customs regulations.
Documentation: Ensure you collect your passport and documents (Green Card/PR) after immigration. Note: While authorities may need to verify your passport, ensure it is returned to you. No one should hold your passport.
Luggage: You are responsible for clearing your own luggage through customs. If a bag is lost, file a report inside the Customs hall before exiting and keep a copy of the report. - Transportation: After exiting, look for a Nusuk Kiosk/Representative, who will direct you to your Dur Representative.
Your Dur rep will arrange your onward transport via Bus or the Haramain High-Speed Train (if included in your package).
Transit Times: The bus from Jeddah to the Medina hotel takes approximately 6 to 7 hours. The bus from the Medina airport to the Medina hotel takes about 30 minutes.
Phase 3: The Medina Experience
- Hotel Stay:
Hotel Check-In
Arrival: Dur Representatives and/or your group guide will welcome you at your package hotel in Medina. Room allocations have been completed in advance, and you will be handed your key cards.
Check-in Time: General check-in is 5:00 PM, but please expect delays due to the volume of Hajj pilgrims, previous guest checkouts, and room cleaning.
Hospitality: If you arrive early, we will do our best to speed up room availability and keep you comfortable while you wait. We appreciate your patience.
Your Stay in Medina (3 Days for Luxury Packages / 4 Days for Standard & Premium)
Hotels in Medina
Familiarization: Note your route from the hotel to Masjid Al-Nabawi, specifically remembering the gate number to the courtyard entrance.
Daily Activities: Attend daily prayers at Masjid Al-Nabawi, join scheduled religious lectures at the hotel, and visit Jannatul Baqi (independently or with the group). * Preparations: Purchase your Ihram clothing and belt for men. * Leisure: Enjoy local cuisine and shop at the traditional markets. - The Rawdah:(Riyadh Al Jannah)
Praying in the Rawdah carries immense spiritual reward.
Individual Booking: Permits are secured exclusively via the Nusuk app (available on iOS/Android; requires a valid visa/passport number). Select “Prophet’s Mosque” > “Praying in the Rawdah,” choose your date/time, and add your companions.
Group Visit: Dur will also organize a guided group visit (separate schedules for men and women). Specific details will be provided upon your arrival in Medina. - Medina Ziyarah: (Half-Day Guided Tour)
Spend half a day traveling to sacred sites to learn about the life of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH).
Locations: Landmarks include the Quba Mosque (the first mosque built by the Prophet) and Mount Uhud (site of the historic Battle of Uhud).
Shopping Stop: The tour will conclude with a stop at a local market to purchase dates, Oudh, Thobes, Abayas, and gifts.
Dur will make all bus tour arrangements with knowledgeable guides and secure transportation for this excursion.
Phase 4: Journey to Mecca & Umrah
- Departure from Medina & Entering Ihram:
Preparation: Pilgrims will prepare for Ihram at the hotel in Medina before departure. Ensure you have your Ihram garments ready.
Miqat (Abyar Ali / Dhul Hulaifah): The bus will stop at the Miqat for approx 45 minutes to make the intention (Niyyah) for Umrah.
Transportation: Journey to Mecca via VIP Bus / Haramain Train depending on your package transportation. The trip will take approximately 5 to 6 hours. Enjoy your journey and keep yourself engaged in Talbiyah - Arrival in Mecca & Hotel Check-In:
Arrive at your designated Mecca hotel, receive your room keys from Dur representatives, and rest before gathering for Umrah.
Hotels in Mecca - Performing Umrah:
Group Gathering: Meet your Dur group guide in the hotel lobby.
Tawaf & Sa'i: The group will walk together to Masjid Al-Haram to perform Tawaf around the Kaaba, followed by Sa'i between Safa and Marwa.
Completion (Halq/Taqsir): After completing Sa'i, men will trim or shave their hair, and women will trim a fingertip's length of hair, officially exiting the state of Ihram.
Free Time: Until the Hajj rites begin, enjoy your stay in Mecca. Attend daily prayers at Masjid Al-Haram, rest, and prepare spiritually.
Phase 5: The Rites of Hajj
- Day 1: 8th Dhul Hijjah (Mina): (Day of Tarwiyah)
Departure to Mina
Ihram for Hajj: Put on your Ihram garments at the Mecca hotel and make the intention for Hajj.
Departure: Buses will begin loading at after Mughrib to transport the group to the Mina Camps (Al Muaissim or Majr AlKabsh).
Details of the date & time will vary. Guides will provide information day before the departures.
When you arrive in Mina, you will be struck by the fact that everything looks the same, so you must be careful not to get lost. Acquaint yourself with the area around your camp and identify some distinguishing landmarks so you know your way back to the camp.
Al-Muaissim camp – also referred as North American camp is located about 2.5 miles (4 Kms) away from Jamarat.
Majar Al Kabash camp - is located in a premium location, across the Jamaraat - Camp A area.
Activities in Mina: Spend the day and night in your desigated Mina tents. Engage in prayer, reflection, and reading the Quran. - Day 2: 9th Dhul Hijjah (Arafat & Muzdalifah): Departure to Arafath The pinnacle of Hajj.
Muaissim Camp: After Fajr prayer, buses will transport the group to the plains of Arafat.
Majr Alkabsh Camp: After Fajr prayer, you will leave to Train 3 Station, from where as group, we will take train to the plains of Arafat.
At Arafat: Spend the day in intense prayer, making Du'a, and seeking forgiveness until sunset. Lunch and snacks will be provided in the tents
Combine and pray Dhur and Asr prayers in the tents, either yourself or in congregation. The two prayers can be combined in the tents at the time of Dhuhr.
It is wajib to stay in Arafat until sunset. Follow your group directions for departure from Arafat
Moving to Muzdalifah: After sunset, the group will depart for Muzdalifah. - Busses for Al Muaissim Camp - Train for Majr Al Kabsh Camp
Overnight in Muzdalifah: Pray Maghrib and Isha combined. Collect pebbles for the Jamarat here. Sleep under the open sky. Sleeping mat/bags arrangements will be available. - Day 3: 10th of Dhul Hijjah (Yawm An-Nahr) – Eid Al-Adha:
Return to Mina: After Fajr in Muzdalifah, the group returns to the Mina camp.
Stoning (Jamarat Al-Aqabah): Walk with your Dur guide at your scheduled time to stone the largest pillar.
Qurbani (Sacrifice) & Halq/Taqsir: You will receive notification of the Qurbani on your behalf.
You can cut/shave your hair and partially exit Ihram (putting on regular clothes).
Tawaf Al-Ifadah & Sa'i: The group will travel to Masjid Al-Haram to perform the obligatory Hajj Tawaf and Sa'i. Transportation details between Mina and Mecca will be provided later
Days 4-6: 11th - 13th of Dhul Hijjah (Ayyam At-Tashreeq)
Stay in Mina: Spend these days in the Mina camp.
Stoning the Jamarat: Each day, after Dhuhr, the group will walk to stone all three pillars. Likely between Dhur and Asr, your group guide will provide details.
Stoning the Jamarat on 13th day is only recommended, else complete the stoning of Jamarat on 12th and prepare to return to Mecca.
Return to Mecca Return to Mecca: On the 12th of Dhul Hijjah, the group will leave Mina and return to your Mecca hotel. Buses will pickup from your mina camps. Details will be shared by the group guide.
Relax and complete the remaining days of your package in Mecca Hotel. Prepare for depatures.
Phase 6: Farewell & Departure
- Farewell Tawaf (Tawaf Al-Wida): Complete this obligatory final rite with the group before departing the holy city.

Journey to the Airport - Departure to Jeddah
Check-Out: Please have your luggage packed and outside your room by either the checkout time or as per the time provided by group guide. - Journey Home:
Buses will transport the group to King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah based on your flight times.
Zamzam Water: It will be available at the Airport for purchase. Every pilgrim is entitled to on 5 liters bottle to carry home.
Final Goodbyes: You will checking in at the airport with your respective flight airlines
